Description
This printed coated cotton is 100% cotton with an acrylic coating. The coating hardly seems noticeable, which means the fabric has woven cotton-like properties such as the touch and feel of the material. We have tried this fabric out on one or two projects and found that water droplets sit on the fabric and over time may start to absorb a little. We made a few pot covers and a bag and they were a breeze to sew due to the slight stiffness and cotton feel of the fabric.
We'd say it is more water repellant than completely waterproof - perfect for lightweight summer shower proof jackets but also a variety of other makes where you are looking for a lightweight splash-proof or wipeable material.
This fabric is Oeko-tex standard 100.
